The developer of WebQuests presents a new and innovative tool for creating web-based inquiry projects. WebQuests are inquiry-oriented activities that promote higher-order thinking skills as information used by learners is drawn from the web. QuestGarden is a tool that allows educators to create custom WebQuests with no web development skills necessary.

This is a video podcast of a presentation made on October 20, 2005 at the San Diego County Office of Education, as part of the Emerging Technology Workshop series. The podcast was produced by BJ Afeman, Project Specialist, San Diego County Office of Education

The session covers the following features of QuestGarden:
I. Step-by-step guidance for creating and publishing customized WebQuests
II. Templates and an easy-to-use interface for creating WebQuests
III. Internet browser-based activities (no additional software necessary)
IV. An emphasis on resource sharing
V. The ability to download finished WebQuests, customize them, then re-publish
